Wall Street rises at opening Thursday

Major U.S. stock indexes kicked off Thursday's session with strong gains, with the Dow surpassing 250 points following the release of consumer inflation figures.

And although annual inflation in July was higher than in June, it came in below analysts' expectations, while the core CPI also rose less than expected.

Meanwhile, unemployment claims rose by 21,000.

The Dow Jones rose 0.75% or 265 points. The S&P 500 also gained 0.76%, the Nasdaq 100 rose 0.98%, and the three indexes extended their gains as the NYSE opened bell.

Forecasts for these highs to end soon and indications back to decline again
