Japanese stocks fall at the end of trading week

Japan's Nikkei index falls sharply at the end of trading Friday

 

Japanese stocks closed today, Friday, with losses across several sectors.

The most notable sectors to suffer losses were 

transportation, communications, and paper.

The most prominent leading stocks that declined 

at the end of trading today were:

Toho Co., Ltd. shares fell by 5.2%

Sompo Holdings Inc. shares fell by 4.7%

Furukawa Electric Co., Ltd. shares fell by 4.5%.

The Nikkei index also fell by 1.5%.
