The price of gold in Egypt Today, Tuesday, August 5, 2025
The global price of gold
Gold prices stabilized on Tuesday near the levels of 3370 dollars per ounce, maintaining their gains made after the US jobs data, which came weaker than expected last Friday.
The precious metal rose after the non-farm payrolls data on Friday came in well below expectations, as well as significant downward adjustments to the figures of previous months, which strengthened the likelihood of the Fed easing monetary policy, which strengthens non-interest-yielding bullion.
Forecasts indicate that the sustainability of this momentum will depend on the depreciation of the US dollar, US Treasury bonds and additional supporting inflation data.
