Neel Kashkari's statements on CNBC on Tuesday were as follows:-
- Inflation has moved sideways recently.
- You have to wait and see to feel more confident about the price forecast.
- The Fed is in a good position as the labor market remains strong.
- We should not exclude anything on the course of politics.
- I want the Fed to see several more months of positive inflation data before cutting the interest rate.
- The Fed may raise interest rates if inflation fails to fall further.
Expectations are that the Fed will keep the interest rate steady during the next meetings because they will definitely not move in June and July at least.
