Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is expected to receive the electoral votes necessary to become the next president of the United States, after his victory in Wisconsin, Fox News reported and announced his victory in the 2024 presidential election.
The state will bring Trump an additional 10 electoral votes, bringing his total to 277 votes, exceeding the 270 needed to secure the presidency.
Donald Trump also addressed his supporters shortly before the official release of the result and said:-
- This is a wonderful victory for the American people .
- We will help our country recover.
- This will be the Golden Age of America.
- America has given us an unprecedented and powerful mandate.
- We have regained control of the Senate.
- We will help our country recover.
- We made history for a reason tonight.
- We will win all the swing states and reach 315 electoral votes.
The US dollar quickly rose, as they expected, against most currencies, after the Republicans were tilted and the probability of Trump winning is now almost 99%.
We expect the dollar to be stronger in the coming period.
