French Inflation Up 0.6% Monthly in July
Final data from the National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE) showed that consumer prices in France rose in July, indicating continued inflationary pressures.
The Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices (HICP), based on EU standards, rose 0.6% month-on-month and 2.4% year-on-year, reaching 103.00. The national HICP also rose 0.6% month-on-month and 2.1% year-on-year to 102.68.
Excluding tobacco products, the HICP also increased by 0.6% compared to the previous month and 2.1% compared to July 2025, reflecting continued price increases in the French economy.
