SpaceX shares fell 2.9% amid concerns over reliance on Anthropic
SpaceX shares dropped 2.9% in after-hours trading following a report revealing that Anthropic has become the company’s largest single client, accounting for approximately 34.5% of its revenue during the third quarter. This has fueled investor concerns regarding SpaceX’s heavy dependence on a single customer, as well as the potential for a slowdown in artificial intelligence spending.
Adding to the pressure is a lawsuit concerning the company’s project in Louisiana, alongside an increase in projected capital expenditures for the fourth quarter, now estimated at $35–40 billion. Furthermore, the stock is approaching a technical support level of $140, amid selling pressure following the lifting of restrictions on the sale of approximately 1.3 billion shares.
