Global gold prices have fallen during today's trading, falling from the levels of 2458 down to the levels of 2422 dollars per ounce now, but gold prices locally in Egypt have risen during today's trading, witnessing an increase of about 15 pounds per gram in the local market during trading on Monday, August 5, to record the price of 21 grams of gold, which is the highest trading in Egypt levels of 3355 pounds per gram.
The reasons that led to this increase in the local market price were the change in the exchange rate of the dollar against the pound in Egypt, where the dollar price in banks rose during the beginning of today's transactions on Monday, exceeding the 49 pounds in some banks, where it recorded 49.40 pounds for purchase, 49.50 pounds for sale in banks such as the Commercial International Bank, while the dollar price in the parallel market exceeded the need of 50 pounds so far.
