US stocks rise as futures rise

US stocks rose on Monday, coinciding with a rebound 

in US index futures.

Dow Jones futures rose 0.20%

Nasdaq futures rose 0.36%

S&P futures rose 0.27%

The most prominent US stocks that witnessed gains today were:

Celticity shares rose 45%

Apple shares rose 1.4%

Steel Dynamics shares rose 0.30%

Darden Restaurants shares rose 1.8%

Hologic shares rose 4.5%

WW International shares rose 5.9%

This rise in futures and stocks is due to

rising hopes for an easing of trade tensions between the United States

and China ahead of the announcement of more important earnings results from companies

such as Netflix and Tesla. Intel and Coca-Cola, 

amid the absence of some official economic data due to 

the temporary US government shutdown.
