The British government also published a joint statement on Friday with nine other countries stating that the strikes against Houthi-controlled areas in Yemen were carried out as an inherent right of individual and collective self-defense, consistent with the UN Charter.
These nine countries are the United States, South Korea, Australia, Bahrain, Canada, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands and New Zealand.
The United States and England were the only two militaries that carried out these strikes, and a senior administration official declined to comment on why the rest of the coalition members did not participate.
