The Bank of Japan will meet next week, but

The Bank of Japan will meet next week on March 18 and 19 but this week will be very important for them as we will have the results of talking about wages.

Wage negotiations in Japan will end on March 13, and the first results will be published by the labor union on March 15.

The pay talk results of major companies and major unions usually set the tone for the results of small companies nationwide.

Masakazu Tokura, president of the Japan Business Federation, said today that he feels more momentum to raise wages this year compared to last year, and there is a high probability that the Bank of Japan will normalize monetary policy in the near future, but I don't know whether it will be in March or not.

More BOJ policymakers are leaning towards the idea of ending negative interest rates this month amid expectations of significant wage increases in this year's annual wage negotiations, a move is soon possible at the March meeting or we may have to wait for the April 25-26 meeting for any BOJ policy move.
