New Zealand's central bank has kept interest rates unchanged but maintains it needs restrictive policy to control inflation

The RBNZ has kept the interest rate unchanged at 5.5% levels as expected but insists it will remain constrained as inflation remains too high, the bank has also raised the rate trajectory as well as its estimate of the neutral rate.

It expects the official interest rate to reach 5.63% in March 2024 (previously 5.58%)
He expects the official interest rate to reach 5.66% in December 2024 (previously 5.5%)
He expects the official interest rate to reach 5.56% in March 2025 (previously 5.36%)
He expects the official interest rate to reach 3.55% in December 2026
