Increasing Collaboration Between Tesla and SpaceX to Support the Future of AI

Morgan Stanley has reported a significant expansion in the ties between SpaceX and Tesla, with both companies focusing on artificial intelligence and its applications in robotics, energy, and manufacturing.

Areas of collaboration include chip development, computing, and energy, alongside SpaceX’s procurement of batteries and vehicles from Tesla to support its computing infrastructure. The two companies are also working on joint projects involving AI and solar energy.

Conversely, SpaceX provides Tesla with computing capabilities and connectivity via Starlink satellites, with plans to integrate satellite connectivity into Tesla vehicles—reflecting growing integration between the two companies across the technology, energy, and telecommunications sectors.
