Japanese stocks posted strong gains at the end of the week

Japan's Nikkei surges at the close of Asian trading

Japanese stocks closed strongly on Friday, with the Nikkei index leading the gains across several sectors. The banking and real estate sectors were among the top performers.

Among the leading stocks that saw significant gains were Mitsui Mining and Smelting, which jumped 17.5%, Disco Corp, which climbed 14.1%, and Sumitomo Metal Mining, which rose 11.9%.

The Nikkei index itself rose 2.88%.

On the other hand, Taiyo Yuden Co. was the biggest loser, falling 5.4%.

The Nikkei

The Nikkei index continued its upward trend, reaching 67,191 points after rebounding from support levels.

The expectation is still for the index to continue rising, and any correction or decline in the index will be a good opportunity to re-enter and buy again.
