Japanese stocks closed Tuesday's trading session

with sharp declines, with losses across several sectors.

The most notable sectors to suffer losses were

transportation, communications, and energy.

Furukawa Electric Co. shares fell 7.4%

Chugai Pharmaceutical Co. shares fell 6.5%

SoftBank Group Corp. shares fell 6.1%.
