Japanese stocks fall at the end of Friday's trading

Japan's Nikkei Index Falls on Friday

 

Japanese stocks closed lower on Friday, with losses across several sectors.

The paper, transportation, and telecommunications sectors 

were among the worst performers.

The leading stocks that declined by the end of trading were:

Trend Micro Inc., down 8.9%

Bridgestone Corp., down 4.6%

GS Yuasa Corp., down 4.4%

The Nikkei index itself fell by 1.03%.

The index has begun to rise as expected.

The outlook remains for continued upward movement in the long term.

The index is targeting a return to its previous highs,

which are near the 52,658 level.
