The Nikkei Index Sees a Slight Decline Today

Japanese stocks closed lower today, Tuesday,

with losses across several sectors.

The paper, transportation, and telecommunications sectors were among the biggest losers.

The leading stocks that declined at the close of trading were:

Tokyo Electric Power Co., down 6.6%

Isetan Mitsukoshi Holdings Ltd., down 6.1%

Sumitomo Dainippon Pharma Co. Ltd., down 5.6%

The Nikkei index also fell by 0.02%.

The index is currently moving sideways.

The outlook remains bullish in the long term.

In the event of an upward move, the index may target levels

 similar to the previous peak near 51,500 and then 52,658.
