Ben Snyder, chief strategist of the US portfolio strategy team at Goldman Sachs, spoke in an interview and said:
- The fundamental background of stock prices is still very good.
- He cites the strong profits achieved by US companies, confidence in the continued decline of inflation.
- Bullish risks seem to be greater than bearish risks at this stage.
- One of the very obvious upside risks is the need to raise earnings expectations even more.
- It expects long-term upside but expects little or no gains from here in 2024, The S&P 500 is already above Goldman Sachs' target of 5,200 at the end of the year.
