The price of gold in Egypt Today, Wednesday, September 24, 2025

The global price of gold

Gold prices fell on Wednesday near the levels of 3,760 dollars per ounce, influenced by the rise in the US dollar after the speech of Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell.

The precious metal is still close to the highs reached this week at the levels of 3,790 dollars per ounce.

Traders continue to estimate the expectations of two more rate cuts this year, and the growing expectations of deeper interest rate cuts by the Federal Reserve, coupled with growing geopolitical and economic uncertainty, are fueling this rise in prices.

On the other hand, we are waiting for personal consumption expenditures inflation data on Friday, as a reading below expectations may promote further monetary easing.
