The global price of gold
Gold prices rose slightly near the levels of 3,335 dollars per ounce, as investors awaited the US producer price index data due to be released on Wednesday.
Markets are also watching the talks between the United States and its main trading partners, as the deadline on the first of August approaches.
The growing uncertainty over tariffs and the extension of the deadline for trade talks suggest that the Federal Open Market Committee will need a few more months of data before cutting the interest rate.
Gold showed resilience despite the challenges, as the latest US inflation data indicated that tariffs are beginning to appear on prices, which may hamper efforts to lower interest rates.
The price of gold in Egypt
Gold prices rose in Egypt on Wednesday,with the 21st highest traded gold in Egypt now trading at yesterday's levels at 4638 pounds.
The price of 24-carat gold in Egypt also recorded levels of 5301 pounds, while 18-carat gold is trading at levels of 3975 pounds per gram.
On the other hand, the price of the dollar is trading on Wednesday in Egypt at the levels of 49.40 pounds, but the dollar price inside the official banks in Egypt has fallen to the levels of 49.47 pounds, the dollar price in the black market has also fallen to the levels of 49.73 pounds.
