Gold Price in Egypt Today, Tuesday, October 7, 2025

Global Gold Price

Gold prices fell slightly in early trading to $3,950 per ounce, after approaching $4,000 and reaching a new all-time high today at $3,977, as the US government shutdown entered its seventh day with no resolution in sight.

The US dollar index rose more than 0.2% to 98.40. The US government shutdown exacerbated uncertainty in financial markets, delaying the release of US economic data critical to the Federal Reserve's decision-making process.

However, traders still expect two additional interest rate cuts this year. Meanwhile, political tensions in France and ongoing geopolitical risks continue to boost demand for safe havens.

Goldman Sachs raised its December 2026 gold price forecast to $4,900 per ounce from $4,300 previously, citing ETF inflows and central bank buying.
