The price of gold in Egypt Today, Tuesday, July 29, 2025

The global price of gold

Gold prices have seen some rises today near the levels of 3,330 dollars per ounce, as the precious metal stands at a crossroads, as multiple factors are pushing it in different directions.

Improved indicators of global trade deals and the strength of short-term US economic data boosted risk appetite and strengthened the value of the US dollar, which led to declines in gold prices yesterday and also at the end of last week's trading.

On the other hand, ongoing geopolitical tensions and uncertainty about inflation, coupled with central banks gold purchases, may help gold to climb back up again to the same extent.

Volatility is expected to remain high in the short term with three major events coming up, namely tariff negotiations, interest rate decisions from the Federal Reserve, and US non-farm payrolls index data.
