Gold Price in Egypt today, Tuesday, December 23, 2025

Global Gold Price

Gold prices rose to a new record high, strongly approaching $4500 per ounce, and we reached $4497.70 per ounce, marking the fiftieth session of record highs this year, driven by expectations of easing US monetary policy and escalating geopolitical tensions, as well as safe-haven demand as the US dollar weakens.

Markets are currently expecting two quarter percentage point rate cuts by the Federal Reserve next year, amid signs of low inflation and a slowing labor market.

Investors are now turning their attention to the second estimate of third-quarter GDP, due out later today, which could provide more information on the health of the US economy and the likely path of Fed policy.

The price of gold has risen 70% this year, heading for its strongest annual gain since 1979.

The rally has also been bolstered by strong central bank purchases and continued inflows into ETFs.
