Gold price in Egypt Today Friday 04 July 2025

The global gold price

Gold prices rose on Friday around the levels of 3,340 dollars per ounce, despite falling in the previous session, as the precious metal is on its way to a weekly gain despite interest rate fluctuations and trade uncertainty.

Gold prices fell during the previous session trading on the back of stronger-than-expected US non-farm payrolls data, as these surprising data reduced the prospects of the Federal Reserve cutting interest rates in the near term, and pushed the US dollar and US Treasury bond yields to rise, however, gold remains well supported by safe haven demand amid geopolitical and trade uncertainty, including impending tariff deadlines on July 9.
