Gold prices rose on Wednesday to the levels of 3320 dollars per ounce, approaching its highest level in two weeks, taking advantage of its gains of more than 2% in the previous session, supported by increasing geopolitical risks and the continued weakness of the US dollar.

Reports that the Zionist entity is planning to launch an attack on Iranian nuclear sites have also raised fears of a possible escalation of the conflict in the Middle East, as such an attack could lead to retaliation from Iran.

Geopolitical concerns were exacerbated by President Trump's statement that Russia and Ukraine would start ceasefire talks, but he hinted that he would back off from mediating the 3-year-old conflict.

The price of gold in Egypt

Gold prices rose in Egypt on Wednesday, with the 21st highest traded gold in Egypt now trading at levels of 4650 pounds.

The price of 24-carat gold in Egypt also recorded levels of 5314 pounds, while 18-carat gold is trading at levels of 3986 pounds per gram.

On the other hand, the price of dollars minted today in Egypt fell to the levels of 49.90 pounds, while the dollar price in official banks inside Egypt fell to the lowest levels of 50.00 pounds down to 49.95 pounds to the dollar, and the dollar price in the black market also fell to the levels of 50.20 pounds.
