The price of gold in Egypt Today, Wednesday, June 25, 2025
The global price of gold
Gold prices fluctuated on Wednesday, the price of gold is now trading around the levels of 3,322 dollars per ounce, and the precious metal fell strongly yesterday on the background of news of the agreement between Israel and Iran on a ceasefire, which led to a decrease in demand for safe haven.
Gold gave up all its gains made since Israel launched its first attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities in mid-June.
However, the yellow metal is still up more than 26% since the beginning of the year so far thanks to central bank purchases and trade uncertainty, but this rise has stopped in recent months.
Also yesterday, US consumer confidence figures for June were released, which were weak, reinforcing economic fears and may pave the way for a rate cut, although Fed Chairman Jerome Powell remains cautious.
