The global price of gold
Gold prices fell on Wednesday, to now trade below the level of USD 3,380 per ounce, while traders were preparing for some volatility in the market and trading opportunities.
As fears of direct US military intervention escalate after President Donald Trump called on Iran to unconditional surrender and hinted at possible strikes, this escalation may further complicate the situation, especially with previous Iranian threats to target US bases, which if it happens may push gold to rise to reach new record levels.
Today is the day of the Federal Reserve, and this means one thing that we all stay glued to the screens, waiting for the latest moves on the charts.
The Federal Reserve is widely expected to keep interest rates steady in an effort to help inflation fall.
The price of gold in Egypt
Gold prices in Egypt fell on Wednesday,as the 21st highest traded gold in Egypt is now trading at yesterday's levels at 4815 pounds.
The price of 24-carat gold in Egypt also recorded levels of 5503 pounds, while 18-carat gold is trading at levels of 4127 pounds per gram.
On the other hand, the price of the dollar minted on Wednesday in Egypt fell to the levels of 50.70 pounds, the dollar price inside the official banks in Egypt also fell to the levels of 50.46 pounds, and the dollar price in the black market also fell to the levels of 50.50 pounds.
