Gold prices stabilized on Wednesday, with futures trading at a stable level near 2663 dollars per ounce, as traders awaited signals about the Fed's interest rate expectations for next year later in the day.
Any protectionist messages with continued low interest rates may enhance the attractiveness of gold.
On the contrary, the hawkish position, which indicates a greater focus on combating inflation, may put more pressure on the price of the precious metal over the coming period.
The price of gold in Egypt
On the other hand, the price of gold in Egypt declined slightly on Wednesday due to the decline in the dollar's price locally, as the price of 21 carat gold is trading the highest traded in Egypt near the levels of 3790 pounds.
The price of 24-karat gold also fell today at levels of 4331 pounds, while 18-karat gold recorded levels of 3249 pounds per gram.
The price of the goldsmith's dollar in Egypt also declined near the levels of 50.90 pounds, while the dollar price inside official banks today declined slightly to reach the levels of 50.88 pounds, and the dollar price in the parallel market inside Egypt also fixed at the levels of 51.15 pounds.
