The global price of gold
Gold is recovering after a wave of selling on Monday, as gold prices rose today near the levels of 3260 dollars per ounce, after yesterday falling to its lowest levels in more than a week, as uncertainty about what will follow the 90-day tariff suspension period keeps traders on the lookout.
Attention is now turning to focus on key US inflation data and upcoming earnings, amid ongoing uncertainty about what will follow the 90-day suspension of tariffs, the US Consumer Price Index report for April is scheduled for release later on Tuesday, and it is expected to witness a rise in the core and general indicators on a monthly basis, and therefore it is possible to witness a return to declines again if the inflation data came out positive better than expected.
The price of gold in Egypt
Gold prices in Egypt rose on Tuesday after yesterday's declines,as the 21st highest traded gold in Egypt is now trading at levels of 4630 pounds.
The price of 24-carat gold in Egypt also recorded levels of 5291 pounds, while 18-carat gold is trading at levels of 3969 pounds per gram.
On the other hand, the price of the dollar issued today in Egypt has fallen to the levels of 50.50 pounds, while the dollar price in official banks inside Egypt has fallen to the levels of 50.55 pounds, and also the dollar price in the black market at the levels of 50.80 pounds.
