The price of gold in Egypt Today, Tuesday, March 11, 2025

The global price of gold

Gold prices rose on Tuesday to the levels of 2911 dollars per ounce, driven by the weakness of the US dollar and safe haven flows due to growing concerns about the US economic outlook amid escalating trade tensions, currently targeting $2920/25 per ounce levels, noting that gold declined the previous session with the start of trading the week near the levels of 2280 dollars.

US President Donald Trump's volatile trade policies, from imposing and delaying tariffs on Canada and Mexico, have unsettled global financial markets, while raising tariffs on Chinese goods and China and Canada responded by imposing their own tariffs.

Investors are now looking forward to inflation data in the United States, which will be released later this week and which may affect the monetary policy position of the Federal Reserve.
