Gold prices rose to the level of 3015 dollars per ounce during Tuesday's trading before returning again near the levels of 3005 dollars.
The precious metal is still down more than 5% in a week.
As uncertainty over trade and tariffs continues to enhance the attractiveness of gold, gold prices are also receiving additional support from the demand of central banks, as geopolitical tensions and uncertainty are pushing them to increase their holdings of safe haven assets.
China's central bank added gold to its reserves for the fifth consecutive month in March.
The price of gold in Egypt
Gold prices in Egypt fell on Tuesday despite the rise in the price of the goldsmith's dollar today,as the 21st highest traded gold in Egypt is trading at levels of 4380 pounds.
The price of 24-carat gold in Egypt also recorded levels of 5006 pounds, while 18-carat gold is trading at levels of 3754 pounds per gram.
Dollar prices rose in Egypt Today, where the price of the dollar minted in Egypt today rose strongly to the levels of 51.90 pounds, with the dollar rising inside the official banks in Egypt at the levels of 51.55 pounds, while the dollar price in the black market inside Egypt rose to the levels of 51.70 pounds.
