The price of gold in Egypt Today, Thursday, March 27, 2025

The global price of gold

Gold prices rose by almost 1% during today's trading on Thursday to the levels of 3038 dollars per ounce, supported by uncertainty about tariffs and geopolitical tensions, to approach their all-time high, which was recorded last Thursday at the levels of 3,057 dollars per ounce.

Gold remains the most reliable hedging tool against Trump's tariffs, as Trump announced on Wednesday the imposition of 25% tariffs on all car imports, expanding the scope of a global trade war that economists fear will slow growth and increase inflation, and is expected to add reciprocal tariffs on US trading partners next week.

Traders are now looking forward to the growth data that will be released today and also the Personal Consumption Expenditures price index that will be released tomorrow, Friday.
