Gold prices traded on Thursday near record highs down to the levels of 2949 dollars per ounce, driven by demand for safe haven assets amid concerns about tariffs and the US inflation report, which reinforced expectations of future interest rate cuts.
Gold is currently trying to make some bearish corrections near the 2930/25 levels to gain some momentum before rising again during the coming period.
The focus today will be on the US Producer Price Index and US unemployment benefit applications.

On the other hand, gold prices rose in Egypt on Thursday, and the 21st highest traded gold in Egypt recorded levels of 4160 pounds.
The price of 24-carat gold in Egypt also recorded levels of 4754 pounds, while 18-carat gold is trading at levels of 3566 pounds per gram.
Gold rose in Egypt today despite the decline in the price of the dollar minted in Egypt Today, which is trading at levels of 50.20 pounds, while the dollar price is trading inside official banks in Egypt Today at levels of 50.72 pounds, with the dollar price rising on the black market inside Egypt to levels of 50.99 pounds.
