Gold prices fell in European trading on Thursday near the levels of 3,349 dollars per ounce, recording its lowest level in a week under the pressure of the rising US dollar, before rebounding from its lowest levels in more than a week after Iran launched some missile strikes and marches targeting the command and Information Center of the Zionist army near a hospital.

The Federal Open Market Committee also voted to keep interest rates unchanged at below 4.5%, as analysts expected, and the committee expects to cut interest rates twice by 0.25% by the end of 2025, with reductions expected in 2026 and 2027 to be reduced once each.

The price of gold in Egypt

Gold prices in Egypt fell on Thursday,as the 21st highest traded gold in Egypt is now trading at yesterday's levels at 4810 pounds.

The price of 24-carat gold in Egypt also recorded levels of 5497 pounds, while 18-carat gold is trading at levels of 4123 pounds per gram.

On the other hand, the exchange rate of the dollar did not move on Thursday in Egypt and continued to trade near the levels of 50.70 pounds, while the dollar rate inside the official banks in Egypt rose to the levels of 50.71 pounds, and the dollar rate in the black market rose to the levels of 50.91 pounds.
