The price of gold in Egypt Today, Thursday, June 12, 2025

The global price of gold

Gold prices rose on Thursday towards the levels of 3,375 dollars per ounce, thanks to the demand for safe haven, especially after President Trump's negative statements about negotiations with Iran on the nuclear agreement.

The US delegation to the Iranian negotiations is scheduled to abstain from attending a meeting scheduled for Sunday, and the State Department and the Pentagon announced on Wednesday that the United States is moving to reduce its presence in parts of the Middle East to limited to core personnel, as tensions escalate in the region.

The weakness of the US dollar due to the US consumer price inflation data, which came weaker than expected, also contributed to expectations of the Federal Reserve cutting interest rates, which led to a further rise in the precious metal.
