The global price of gold Gold
prices rose to an all-time high to trade above the level of 2950 dollars per ounce on Thursday, as the precious metal reached an all-time high of 2954.60 dollars per ounce, the tenth record this year, and analysts say that the level of 3000 dollars is only a matter of time.
Some of the reasons why gold has continued to rise this week is what Trump said on Wednesday that he would announce tariffs on timber, cars, semiconductors and medicines within the next month or earlier.
The Fed's latest minutes on Wednesday also showed that Trump's initial policy proposals raised concerns about rising inflation, strengthening the central bank's position to refrain from further interest rate cuts.
