Gold price in Egypt Today Thursday 05 June 2025
The global price of gold
Gold prices rose on Thursday as the US dollar weakened and investors concentrated before the release of major US economic data, where gold prices rose today to the levels of 3,403 dollars per ounce, before declining to the current lows of 3,400 dollars.
As one of the reasons for the rise of the precious metal was the improvement of gold's position as a safe haven, US Treasury bonds also began to decline in the previous session, which supported gold even more, and the weak ADP figures raised concerns about the strength of the US labor market, and expectations of further rise next period for gold.
The market's attention is now turning to Friday's non-farm payrolls reading, which will be closely watched for indications of the scale and scope of possible interest rate cuts later this year.
