The global price of gold
Gold prices rose today near the levels of 3030, to settle near their record highs achieved last week at the levels of 3057 dollars per ounce, and gold is currently benefiting from the decline of the US dollar, fears of possible imposition of comprehensive US tariffs, and increased demand from central banks, where China leads the largest share of central bank demand by 48%.
There are also increasing efforts to import gold to the United States ahead of a possible global tariff, while rising US Federal debt is expected to further increase prices.
The price of gold in Egypt
On the other hand, gold prices rose in Egypt on Monday, where the 21st highest traded gold in Egypt recorded levels of 4290 pounds.
The price of 24-carat gold in Egypt also recorded levels of 4903 pounds, while 18-carat gold is trading at levels of 3677 pounds per gram.
The price of the goldsmith's dollar in Egypt is also trading today at the levels of 50.30 pounds, and the dollar price inside the official banks in Egypt rose today to the levels of 50.70 pounds, with a slight rise in the dollar price on the black market inside Egypt to the levels of 50.96 pounds.
