The precious metal rose for the seventh week in a row by the end of last week's trading, however, some profit-taking activities put pressure on gold on Friday, but it was not too bad to break its weekly gains.
Investors are cautiously considering any tariffs imposed on the commodity, as last week Donald Trump signed another executive order on tariffs but stopped short of providing any actual increases.
Gold has historically been exempt from such tax charges, but no one knows what Trump will currently offer.
The price of gold in Egypt
On the other hand, gold prices rose in Egypt on Monday, where the 21st highest traded gold in Egypt recorded levels of 4105 pounds.
The price of 24-carat gold in Egypt also recorded rises today towards the levels of 4691 pounds, while 18-carat gold is trading at the levels of 3519 pounds per gram.
The dollar prices in Egypt did not move much on Monday, as the dollar is still trading today at the levels of 50.30 pounds, and the dollar price inside the official banks declined slightly near the levels of 50.68 pounds, and the dollar prices in the black market inside Egypt traded at yesterday's levels near the levels of 50.95 pounds.
