Gold prices rose strongly today to a new historical level, as gold exceeded the levels of 2900 dollars per ounce today, and futures also rose to a new record level with the demand for safe haven, reaching levels of 2930 dollars, and so far the precious metal has risen by more than 10% since the beginning of the year, setting consecutive records along the way, due to fears of US tariffs that risk rising inflation and slowing economic growth and stimulate demand for safe haven assets such as gold.

China's central bank also expanded its gold reserves for the third month in January, with reserves rising by 73.5 million ounces from 73.3 million last December, and central banks are likely to continue adding more holdings as geopolitical tensions and the economic climate push them towards safe haven assets.

On the other hand, gold prices in Egypt rose strongly on Monday, as the 21st highest traded gold in Egypt set a new record, reaching levels of 4060 pounds.

The price of 24-carat gold in Egypt also recorded strong rises today towards the levels of 4640 pounds, while 18-carat gold is trading at the levels of 3480 pounds per gram.

The price of the goldsmith's dollar also fell on Monday to the levels of 49.70, the dollar also fell inside the official banks to the levels of 50.32 pounds, also the price of the dollar on the black market inside Egypt fell to the levels of 50.58 pounds.
