The precious metal is trading on Monday near the levels of 2625 dollars per ounce around last week's closing zones, as the weaker-than-expected US inflation reading revived hopes for a rate cut next year.
Futures also settled near 2644 dollars per ounce that the US central bank signaled over the past week to lower interest rate cuts next year, which boosted the dollar and bond yields.

On the other hand, the price of gold in Egypt rose on Friday, especially with the rise of the dollar locally against the pound, as the price of the 21st highest traded gold in Egypt is trading near the levels of 3765 pounds.
The price of 24-karat gold also rose today at levels of 4303 pounds, while 18-karat gold recorded levels of 3227 pounds per gram.
The price of the goldsmith's dollar in Egypt also rose again to trade at the levels of 51 pounds, while the dollar price inside official banks also rose for the first time above the levels of 51 pounds, to trade at the levels of 51.04 pounds, and the dollar price in the parallel market inside Egypt is still fixed at the levels of 51.15 pounds.
