The global price of gold
Gold prices fell on Monday near the levels of 2660 dollars per ounce with the rise of the US dollar, as the upward momentum of the precious metal stopped, ending a series of gains that lasted four sessions in a row.
At the geopolitical level, the 60-day ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hezbollah seems to have helped the gold to retreat, despite mutual accusations of violating the ceasefire.
In the near term, the market will focus on the next Fed meeting, scheduled for mid-December, also on US economic data this week, we are waiting for jobs and the non-farm payroll report.
The price of gold in Egypt
On the other hand, gold prices in Egypt fell on Monday, as the price of 21-karat gold, the highest traded in Egypt, is trading near the levels of 3680 pounds.
The price of 24-karat gold also fell today to levels of 4206 pounds, and 18-karat gold recorded levels of 3154 pounds per gram.
Also today we witnessed a rise in the price of the goldsmith's dollar near the levels of 49.60 pounds, and the dollar price rose inside official banks today trading at the levels of 49.78 pounds, also the dollar price in the parallel market inside Egypt rose at the levels of 50.02 pounds as it was yesterday.
