The global price of gold
Gold prices fell on Monday with the beginning of the week to the levels of 3210 dollars per ounce and we still expect some downward corrections before rising again, especially after making a new record high at the beginning of today's trading near 3245.60 dollars.
The uncertainty surrounding the reciprocal tariffs imposed by US President Donald Trump, and their subsequent reversal, prompted investors to turn to safe haven assets such as gold.
UBS expects gold to reach USD 3,500 by the end of the year, and Goldman Sachs also raised its forecast for the gold price by the end of the year to USD 3,700 and then USD 4,000 by mid-2026, citing stronger-than-expected demand from central banks and increased risks of recession affecting ETF flows.
The price of gold in Egypt
Gold prices in Egypt fell on Monday, with the 21st highest traded gold in Egypt trading at the levels of 4620 pounds after it exceeded the levels of 4700 pounds.
The price of 24-carat gold in Egypt also recorded levels of 5280 pounds, while 18-carat gold is trading at levels of 3960 pounds per gram.
The price of the goldsmith's dollar in Egypt also fell today to the levels of 51.20 pounds, with a decline in the dollar price inside the official banks in Egypt to the levels of 51.07 pounds, while the dollar price on the black market inside Egypt rose to the levels of 51.33 pounds.
