The global price of gold
Gold struggled to maintain its momentum during the Asian trading session on Monday, with gold now trading near USD 3,325 after falling for three consecutive sessions.
The yellow metal continues to come under pressure, as traders assess the Fed's changing narrative on interest rates, and prepare for crucial US-China trade talks in London.
Trade discussions between the United States and China are currently still the main event in determining the direction of the market.
The European Commission is also urging the United States to reduce tariffs, which increases uncertainty about trade policy.
Meanwhile, geopolitical tensions escalated as Russia demanded territorial concessions from Ukraine to end the war.
The price of gold in Egypt
Gold prices in Egypt rose slightly on Monday, as the 21st highest traded gold in Egypt is now trading at levels of 4670 pounds.
The price of 24-carat gold in Egypt also recorded levels of 5337 pounds, while 18-carat gold is trading at levels of 4003 pounds per gram.
On the other hand, the price of the dollar minted today in Egypt rose to the levels of 49.70 pounds, and the dollar price has not moved inside the official banks in Egypt, trading since last week at the levels of 49.72 pounds, and also the dollar price in the black market from the levels of 49.97 pounds.
