Gold prices rose by about 1% on Friday, remaining close to the record highs set last October, driven by US President Donald Trump's calls to cut interest rates and uncertainty surrounding his trade policies.

On the other hand, gold prices in Egypt rose strongly on Friday, as the price of the 21st highest traded gold in Egypt reached the levels of 3855 pounds.
The price of 24-carat gold in Egypt also recorded strong rises today towards the levels of 4406 pounds, while 18-carat gold is trading at the levels of 3304 pounds per gram.
However, the price of the dollar minted in Egypt rose on Friday to trade at the levels of 49.40 pounds, and the dollar price inside the official banks declined slightly today to the levels of 50.36 pounds, with the dollar price in the parallel market inside Egypt reaching the levels of 50.62 pounds.
