Gold futures fell on Friday, but remained broadly stable during the week amid weak trading and a tight range of movements during the holiday period.
Gold prices are trading today near the levels of 2625 dollars, as gold's potential gains have been limited by the more hawkish Fed, with the market pricing in a lower interest rate cut in 2025.
High interest rates usually weaken the attractiveness of non-interest-generating bullion.
The price of gold in Egypt
On the other hand, gold prices in Egypt did not move on Friday, and trading in the range is still very tight due to the market holidays and World holidays, as the price of 21 carat gold is still trading near the levels of 3740 pounds in Egypt.
The price of 24-carat gold in Egypt also recorded levels of 4274 pounds today, and 18-carat gold is also trading at levels of 3206 pounds per gram.
The price of the goldsmith dollar in Egypt also recorded levels of 50.70 pounds today, and the dollar price did not move inside official banks today to trade near the levels of 50.95 pounds, however, the dollar price in the parallel market inside Egypt declined slightly to reach near the levels of 51.40 pounds.
