The global price of gold
Gold prices rose during today's trading on Friday to trade near the levels of 3,335 dollars per ounce, after falling by 1% in the previous session.
Progress in global trade negotiations, after the US announced an agreement with the UK, and before a meeting to break the deadlock with China, has led to a decline in demand for safe haven assets in recent days and expectations of further declines over the coming period.
The upcoming meeting between Washington and Beijing is viewed with cautious optimism, as the negotiations may be long and protracted.
The price of gold in Egypt
Gold prices rose in Egypt on Friday,with the 21st highest traded gold in Egypt now trading at levels of 4738 pounds.
The price of 24-carat gold in Egypt also recorded levels of 5415 pounds, while 18-carat gold is trading at levels of 4061 pounds per gram.
On the other hand, the price of the dollar issued in Egypt did not move today from the levels of 50.60 pounds, while the dollar rate in official banks inside Egypt fell to the levels of 50.69 pounds, and also the dollar rate in the black market at the levels of 50.95 pounds.
