ECB Governing Council member and Governor of the Slovak National Bank Petar Casimir on Thursday confirmed his expectations that the central bank will cut the interest rate for the second time this year. He said that he expects it to be a quiet summer for the ECB regarding interest rates, that is, they are not preparing to move next July. The ECB should wait for the September forecast to make a decision on interest rates, he added.
