Coinbase suffers heavy losses due to hacks.

Coinbase announced on Thursday that it had been hacked.

The company stated that the stolen data included usernames

 and email addresses for a small group of users, and that no login

 or password information was stolen.

It also stated that images of ID cards were stolen, along with data

 and images of company account balances.

The platform also stated that it will incur costs ranging from $180 million to $400 million

 as a result of this latest attack.

The company also stated that the hack occurred as a result of bribery

of some of the platform's technical support agents.

 It also stated that those involved in the attack have been fired, that cases have been filed,

and that the authorities have been notified to take all necessary governmental action.
