Inflation data released earlier today made it very likely the RBA would raise the rate on November 7.
Australia's main consumer price index for the third quarter of 2023 rose + 1.2% quarter-on-quarter (vs. 1.1% expected)
We expect that the Australian Bank will not tolerate a slower return to inflation than currently expected.
And how hard new RBA governor Bullock looked in her final words
Could it reach +50 basis points in November? Or will the lifting be + 25 and then another + 25 at the December meeting?
ANZ expects a 25 basis point rate hike from the RBA on November 7 (the previous forecast was a December rate hike)
Commonwealth Bank of Australia also forecasted 25 basis point rate hike on November 7
